My 2006 Nissan 350Z was having trouble folding the roof into the trunk. Although the bodice itself was in perfect condition, the elastic bands that help crease the temples when the bodice is folded down lost their elasticity. OEM replacement belts cost over $80 per side and required a bit of work to install. the LuBanSir Cinch Strap worked great. I was able to easily install the straps over an existing OEM strap in just a minute. Advantages of the cinch strap: the tension of the straps can be adjusted as needed, the straps can be easily replaced by the car owner when worn, and the cost is extremely low. I will be purchasing extra straps for a 1998 BMW M3 Convertible but I need to take some measurements as the strap spacing is longer. But no doubt it will fix the top M3 as well. I had a new top professionally installed on the M3 a few years ago and the supports were never properly adjusted. The upper part always had to be inserted by hand so that the nose could be folded. Cinch Straps will definitely solve this problem. (Pictured is the old 350Z OEM rubber strap. The traction strap simply wraps around both arches the same way as the original. Adjust the tension if needed. Doesn't require much tension.)
