Review on Bilstein 24 002585 Shock by Tai Wiest

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Toyota RV turns corners much better now

I installed them myself last year. The Toyota motorhome now handles corners much better. The suspension feels stiffer with less auto bounce. The front Bilsteins had a hex hole at the top of the stock, which made installation much easier. High quality product mark. Mounting on an RV is much easier as there are no coil springs to compress. Loosen the three bolts and the old shock absorber will fall out. Press in the new shock absorber with a jack until the two screws can be tightened from below. About 30 minutes of work per stroke. The rear shock near the muffler was the heaviest, as the muffler limited range and line of sight.

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Very expensive
