Absolutely Essential
You need *these* filters if you have Chemex and pour coffee over them. I didn't originally buy them because I wanted to pick them up at my local Whole Foods store, but my Whole Foods mysteriously stopped selling that brand and went with a different brand instead. With another brand of filter I had to be very careful and pour "baby" or the bottom broke and all the water and sediment went straight into the carafe. However, they are incredibly strong, durable and wonderful and there is no such problem with them.
