TOUGH-GRID on left side. Paracord planet right. As you can see, TOUGH-GRID has 7 inner strands that have 3 smaller, braided strands, each of which should have military grade cord. Also extra thread. Paracord Planet also has 7 strands, but each of these strands is just 2 smaller strands intertwined. NOT MIL-SPEC 550 PARACORD! Not to mention the internal threads aren't as good as TOUGH-GRID. None of this matters for simple paracord projects and crafts. But if you're going for the strength of real 550lb paracord, TOUGH-GRID is the only choice between the two. I wouldn't call either of them "coyote brown" color wise, but they're both close enough. I find TOUGH-GRID looks more "golden" while Paracord Planet is a little more muted. It's hard to say which is "better" in terms of color as it changes under different lighting conditions. Hard to say. Against all odds, TOUGH-GRID is the winner here in my book! Also, oddly enough, the Paracord Planet was damaged (used?). But for that money I don't bother going back. If you want real 550, "mil-spec" paracord, Paracord Planet is NOT the place.
