The first batch arrived quickly but didn't work. The second took a day longer to arrive but it worked as advertised. I needed a long probe, high speed digital thermometer that would allow me to measure the temperature while frothing milk. The probe is long enough to fit in the clip for my old analog thermometer. and go to the bottom of my foaming glass. So far I haven't noticed any lag and when I stop the vapor at 138F it doesn't go above 140F. The analog unit will lag, causing the set temperature to be exceeded. For this application it is desirable to approach 140 without exceeding it.
