I am writing a review after upgrading to a 16-inch model. If anyone chooses between generations of 15 and 16 inches, I hope my review will be useful. Moved from this laptop (i7, 32, 512, 560x) to 16 (i9, 64, 1024, 5500M) 1. Finally 32GB. You can always keep a virtual machine running with Windows and not get an entry in swap. In 16 inches they brought 64GB. 2. The performance is about the same in development tasks. Building web applications and . net core second per second (within margin of error, sometimes one won a laptop, sometimes the other). I practically don’t work with graphics, it’s better to read other reviews. Browsers, Words, Skype and this one all work equally fast. 3. The laptop is heating up. When connected to an external monitor, the discrete graphics card is activated and it seems to heat up the case very much. If you connect to 2m 4k monitors and close the lid, then throttling up to 800MHz is easily caught. When open, throttling comes later. Perhaps the jamb of my copy. When working without an external monitor, throttling was practically impossible to catch, so I sin on the video card. 4. Touchbar. It is heated here and there, it is unpleasant to touch it. In model 16, thanks to our prayers, at least the escape was set to physical. I don’t see any benefit from the touchbar, I want there to be a choice. I would take it with physical buttons. It saves that I use an external clave with a monik. 5. Trackpad. And here and there it is very big. When typing, if you put your hands on the clave, the cursor jumps to another part of the text and you are not typing where you expected. It pisses me off in all poppies, except for the 12-inch poppy, there is a small convenient trackpad and hands do not cling to it when typing. I'm already catching on a 13 inch poppy. 6. The screen in 16 inches looks better because of the frames. In fact, it fits the same. Feel. In terms of performance, 15 and 16 do not differ in CPU tasks, if the budget is limited - it makes sense to buy this model, and better BU. Get great performance on par with new laptops with new processors, a nice chassis and 32GB with 2 OS capability.
