Purchased this item in April 2015. Poor noise canceling quality as highlighted by other reviewers. Very poor workmanship: the battery cover falls off, it was lucky to find it between the seats of the plane, the material covering the foam started to peel off leaving black marks on the head and clothes after a year of use. I recently ordered replacement foam pads from Sony customer service who work with Encompass. The replacement price was $21.56 and I made the stupid mistake of agreeing to pay. Turns out they aren't the right size and just send "a pad" as if people only have one ear! Carefully!
