Review on Spikeball Playing Kit with Drawstring Ball by John Rivera

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Much smaller than expected

This is the first time that I am writing a review for a product that I have purchased but I was so concerned about it that I had to write something. I bought it as a Christmas present for my kids. I was a bit shocked at the price of this product when I saw it at Revain but thought it was worth it. Not correct! As it was supposed to be his "Santa Claus" present I was so embarrassed when my son took it out of the box. It's made of the cheapest plastic imaginable. The net is just a simple, fragile net that you have to constantly pull to keep it taut enough for the ball to actually bounce. The balls are what you can find in the dollar store. I spent Christmas morning and every time I see this in my son's room I think it was probably an invention of a frat brother who realized he could make millions by putting this thing in people's homes if it would cost him about $3.50 a set. Produce and sell for $60. I am sure that he has achieved this goal. It says nothing about quality or durability. I guess in the pro column you could say it's easy to carry around for an impromptu SpikeBall at the beach, or you don't have to worry too much about it breaking other than spending $60 on it. Disappointed to say the least.
