The first thing I noticed when I opened a can of Wahl Beard Softener was the incredibly pleasant smell. It wasn't too "male" but far from "female". I read the instructions and did what they said; I applied a small amount of the product to my beard and massaged it in. It was said to be applied to the face if desired, but I chose to only use it on my beard as I have an oily face and don't want to risk it. the product does not rub in properly. It was very easy to get the product to coat and rub into my beard. After about 20-30 seconds all of the product will be absorbed and no white streaks will remain. After using Wahl Beard Softener five times in the last week, I can say with satisfaction, almost surprised, that my beard really feels. softer. I was skeptical that a store-bought product could mitigate this tangled, gross mess, but it worked!
