When the instructions say to check for overprint, it really matters! I followed 1 Finger Under the Collar's instructions with no problem, but my dog was injured by a pip. Even with the plastic coating, it left a wound and also partially pierced the skin, leaving a small hole. If I knew there was a risk of inlining I wouldn't risk using this at all. If you make a mistake while using this item, even if it is the user's fault, it could harm your dog. I will buy a vibration collar WITHOUT teeth. Also, the dough doesn't keep very long.
