After reading other reviews before purchasing I had no hesitation in purchasing this item to replace the one that was past its useful life would have. After installing the replacement part, I was concerned that the vacuum cleaner would not work any better than before. I then found that the self-leveling floorhead was not working smoothly, so the next logical step was a thorough cleaning. Subsequently, and of course thanks to the fact that replacing the part helped, the vacuum cleaner worked like new! Lesson learned! First try cleaning the floor nozzle assembly to see if this improves suction. However, be sure to replace the roller if it has been used for several years.
