Dyson Genuine DC40 Brushroll DY 924405 01 Review

My roller brush has seen better days! I saw this one and thought for the price I could replace mine before I did! I had no idea how much improvement I would see! We say amazing! It's like my vacuum cleaner is brand new again! Who knew a roller brush could make vacuuming so amazing!

This new replacement roller brush changed everything. Very easy to install. I've also found that my 9 year old Dyson, which clears the 2 small rollers on the leveling bar of hair and dirt every time I vacuum, in addition to cleaning the brush roller works like new! It only takes a few minutes!

Finding the right parts for my Dyson Animal 2 vacuum cleaner was very difficult. I ended up getting the right brush plate from another source. The problem is that nobody shows the exact dimensions of the parts. It would be easier if the measurements were given. Parts from Revain were good quality but wrong size, my fault!

I bought this part because I didn't want to clean the existing part which was covered in hair. It was easy to remove the old part and replace it with a new one. The best thing about Dyson vacuum cleaners is that all parts are very easy to replace. The filters have been cleaned and now the vacuum cleaner works like new! $20 to get your vacuum cleaner working like new is hard to beat.

I received the item earlier than expected! It was exactly what was advertised and fit perfectly. Dyson doesn't have a belt driving the brush. It is easy to replace with a Phillips screwdriver. Other tools were needed. When you compared the old to the new, I understood why it needed to be replaced. Remember that this is a wearing part and the vacuum cleaner will need to be replaced periodically to maintain it.

After reading other reviews before purchasing I had no hesitation in purchasing this item to replace the one that was past its useful life would have. After installing the replacement part, I was concerned that the vacuum cleaner would not work any better than before. I then found that the self-leveling floorhead was not working smoothly, so the next logical step was a thorough cleaning.
