These are well made and would work well for securing most things on a kayak. I really wanted to love them for securing my paddle. However, the very strong coil continually gets caught on the edge of my Pungo 120 - so irritating! On top of that, the hard plastic on the leash bangs on the side of the kayak, making lots of noise. I want peacefulness, when paddling; I will keep these leashes for securing other items on my kayak, but will be looking for a paddle leash that is one continuous piece of fabric.
