Yes, you have to empty the dirty water, but you still want your vacuum cleaner to stay clean, right? I'm obsessed with cleanliness, so being able to take things off and put them away makes me happy. SIMPLE AND EASY TO MANAGE! I can easily hold it with one hand. It glides well on wood, tile, indoor and outdoor carpets. Ergonomically well thought out. TALKING ASSISTANT! This may bother some, but you have the option to mute it. I find it useful to be reminded to press the cleaning button and drain the waste water. I have a million things to do, the voice is an asset. POWERFUL SUCTION! Wonderful. My floors are so clean after every use. I have a 50 lb dog and she easily sucks up all the hair. But note the cons 22. CAN BE USED ON CARPETS WITH VERY VERY LITTLE HAIR. I wouldn't use this for anything larger as it might ruin the brush head. Cons - LOCATION OF THE POWER BUTTON! It's a bit annoying when the button is next to my hand holding the vacuum cleaner. It turns off in the middle of a vacuum because I accidentally press it. FUR/HAIR ENTER! So while the suction power is perfect, the vacuum cleaner doesn't seem to be able to treat the hair well between the brush and the sewage suction chute (this description is made up because it's hard to say that this is normal). Once this happens the vacuum cleaner starts leaving hair in its path (when I use the water spray button I see a small pile of dog hair water left behind the vacuum cleaner.
