Old school style screwdrivers

Beautiful old school style screwdrivers. Have a good old fashioned lifetime guarantee like the old days, bring back memories of helping your dad around the house as a kid. I don't think they are made in the US anymore, but they seem to be the same as the old ones. A good universal set of the most important sizes.

10 Useful Screwdrivers and Magnetizers for $17

Not the old Sear set but they work the same. The Grip has more torque than most other screwdrivers in the same price range. This $16 12-piece set is better than the $34 25-piece set because you get more of what you need and none of the fillers you'll ever use. The magnetizer is handy to have. The set does not come with a large Phillips head to match the large flat head in the set but I bought it for a low price of around $3 with change. All in all, this set comes in basic sizes at an affordable

Old master: screwdriver sets

Screwdrivers are man's best friend. Most of them are wrong size when urgently needed. But the practicality does not allow a screwdriver to be thrown away. Appreciates everyone. After counting my inventory of screwdrivers, I found that there were almost 90 of them. Bought this Craftman set as this brand has always been a staple. I like her. Maybe my like has gone down a bit. The first use of a 4 inch flat blade resulted in the blade breaking. Big surprise. I'll regrind and heat treat and see…

Wide range, good quality, lifetime guarantee

When my child moved to a new apartment, they needed a good tool set for general use and repairs. Along with a Craftsman hammer and tape measure (both also from Revain) this set is perfect for all tasks. The driver options work well for most home repairs, but they are better quality tools than your typical "good" home kits. They have an old-school sense of "solidity". While I wouldn't hit the handles with a hammer, they will certainly fall to the ground. And the lifetime warranty is a plus. (And

Garbage. i wanted to love her

I have an old set of Craftsman screwdrivers that I have used for over 15 years. I've abused them, used them as chisels, crowbars and other things I probably shouldn't have. However, they still work today. I lost a few and decided to buy a new set based on my past experience. Well, the first time I tightened a small clamp with a flathead screwdriver, the tip broke off. It wasn't even delayed. This is new junk. I didn't want to believe the reviews, I've been loyal to the brand but now I'm looking

High quality and good price

I bought this 12 piece craftsman set and the 17 piece craftsman set (much more expensive) and found the 12 piece set was much better quality and included all the necessary screwdrivers. The 17 piece had some unique lengths etc, but the extras in the 17 piece were of lower quality and poorly finished and some of the pins in the 17 piece were muddy. Additionally, the 12-piece set includes a magnetizing/demagnetizing device that will come in handy. It turns out that the more expensive 17-piece set

They don't make them like they used to

I have several handyman hand tool kits including the exact same screwdrivers. Some are many years old. I have bought this brand again and again because of the lifetime warranty and easy replacement if a tool breaks. Although I occasionally break a tool, this is very rare. I bought this set about two months ago. When I first used standard screwdrivers (albeit on a tightened screw), two of the tips broke trying to unscrew the screw. I have to say that this is unacceptable. I've abused some of my…

Good old Craftsman hand tools

About 20 years ago my father gave me my first set of Craftsman screwdrivers. When I damaged one of these scraping off the grout, he took it back to Sears and replaced it for free. I was surprised. Well 20 years later I had to buy a second set so I went back to Craftsman. I've read all the other reviews saying they've gone down in quality and they certainly seem to be lighter than my original screwdrivers (although I haven't tested them side by side) but they still do their job ie tightening…

Craftsman means lifetime

Pretty good set of Phillip's popular size flat head screwdrivers. Three unique things that often slightly amuse me. The price was #1, hey it's a good price and it would be a lot more expensive if it was made in the United States. It doesn't matter, they are licensed and manufactured under the Craftsman brand, so the warranty is intact and they've passed the tensile test. The only downside is probably the quality of the cover. It doesn't bother me and my snapons don't wear out or get too used…
