Review on Organic Soap Berry Shampoo For Normal To Oily Hair - 16Oz Sulfate-Free All-Natural Hair Care - Made With Gluten-Free Vegan Ingredients - Enriched With Soap Berries by Justin Miller

It's not my HG shampoo, but for something this natural with no harsh chemicals, I'll take it!

I have long hair, with a combination of sometimes oily scalp and semi-dry ends. After using this in conjunction with my normal conditioner after a week, my hair is oily by the third day, but I guess that's expected. If i wash every other day, I have much better results. So far I've noticed that my scalp does seem to itch less and there are much less white flakes near my scalp, in comparison (probably because my scalp used to be dry, or because there is a lot of buildup from other hair products). To be clear though, this Soapnut/Soapberry shampoo has not entirely rid my hair of all oil or tiny flakes, so I took one star off. It's not bad though, and I actually learned that this is commonly mistaken as dandruff, but in reality, dandruff doesnt flake and is instead larger chunks (usually yellow not white) attached to the scalp. Well, long story short, I haven't experienced dandruff like that since, so I suppose (?) this shampoo has prevented dandruff from happening?Bottom line: I definitely recommend this shampoo if you are conscious of the products you use on your hair and body, and know that nothing here will damage your hair. It's pretty good for normal or normal-to-oily hair; I always use Sulfate-free products and I do feel that it is much less damaging to my hair (less split ends!), and I'm happy to have added this one to the tried list. Everyone's results will vary depending on their body chemistry, but this shampoo's worth a try, in my opinion.

Pros
  • Beauty & Personal Care
Cons
  • Can be more expensive than other shampoos on the market
