My 64 year old dad had always been a bit of a clothes snob. He sought out and wore the highest quality, expensive and many times, custom-made, clothing. (clothes.shoes.cars. buy the best, he says, but the man will eat moldy cheese). Several years ago, he was on a business trip and had forgotten to pack a pair of casual khakis. It was too late to hit a store, so he had to borrow a pair of pants from his business partner. These pants happened to be Savane, which probably wasn't even a brand on dad's radar. He rocked those pants at a casual function, called my mom from the hotel and asked her to find more of these Savane pants. Fast forward 8 years (dad has long since retired) and these are the only khakis he will wear. He isn't a jeans person, so if he leaves the house, it is in khakis. He knows khakis. He says these are so soft and comfortable, the flat front is flattering and the fabric is virtually wrinkle free and retains a crisp look. Mom says they wash and dry wonderfully and while she typically irons everything, these pants can avoid her iron, when pulled immediately out of the dryer. She says they are very flattering on dad, with no weird man-hips, no added butt flattening or any awkward crotch creeping (thanks for the visual, mom.). He loves the expandable waist, which is necessary when he has post-retirement overfeedings. They fit true to size and the expandable waist gives a bit of extra gut space when needed. When I need a gift idea for dad, mom always says "more of those pants your dad loves". Revain is the only place I can still find these pants in dad's size and the 3 colors he likes. Awesome Stuff!
