Review on Reptile Fixture Reptiles Amphibian Adjustable by Claudia Brown

Revainrating 5 out of 5

High quality light, good value for money

They arrived late but now that they are here I am very happy with them. They are solid and the adjustable part and clip are very stiff and difficult to move which is good as it means they stay in place. It's not obvious in the photo, but in fact you can adjust the depth of the base of the screw, which is handy for a tight and snug fit on the lamp, a nice feature. Dimmers work great. I actually dim "dimmable" PAR LED lights and it's a smooth curve all the way down. 50 watts max on them and I would stick with that. The downside is the cord is flimsy and the plug is one of those cheap aluminum models BUT it stays in the socket and the lamp will run for an hour and the cord doesn't get hot so no dents. Stars. Let's see how they behave over time. Note that I don't actually use these in aquariums or reptile enclosures, but I think they will work great for that. They have too much ownership and a virtual monopoly. don't be lazy What keeps me here with some of the items are the valuable product reviews (which is why I'm writing these) and the availability of small, cheap components that I can't reliably get elsewhere.

Pros
  • Heat Lamps and Terrarium Mats
Cons
  • For old ones
