Exceptional stone! For many years I have adopted the simple and practical habit of using sharpeners on my knives. I haven't used a stone in a hundred years. But I need knives for work, and they have to be sharp. I've decided to buy this. I'm so glad I did. This stone gives my blades amazing sharpness. It's a good size, wide enough and long enough to allow for long passes. I've only used it by pouring water on it and that's really all it takes, making it easier and less messy. That's all I want to use for now. I'll always take my sharpener with me on trips or hikes just in case I need a quick touch up, but now this Arkansas stone has become my all-time favorite way to sharpen. This is a great article.
