It's all about the little things

All of my Hamilton Beach products exceed my expectations and this little blender is no different. I like it because it satisfies my baking needs for amateur, internet, and book recipes and doesn't take up much space in my cabinet (I'm limited to two cabinets for ALL kitchen storage). I've used it to mix ingredients for cakes, brownies, muffins, waffles, pancakes, cookies, and various bread doughs. Works like a charm every time! It has 6 speeds and a burst button that gives extra boost at each speed. It's super easy to clean and the best part is that the attachments and cord are kept together so it looks tidy and all attachments are easily accessible for next use. It has 3 attachments and a basket that attaches to the blender to store the attachments and cord. It also has a 3 tier design at the end so you can place the blender on top of the bowl while adding ingredients. I found it to be pretty neat and it actually keeps it from sliding around and keeps the bowl from tipping over and spilling everything. My only complaint is that the attachments and storage cord together is a Tetris battle I always lose. Not to mention that you have to put in some effort to close the reservoir. I don't, but I'm afraid I might break it. At this point the order that seems to do the trick seems to be beater and beat together, then another beater pushed all the way down, cord and snap. No problem for the price and functionality, this hand mixer rocks! UPDATE: It's been 6 months and my blender is still working like the first day! I have found that practice makes perfect and now I have no trouble storing all the attachments and cords. I knead the dough for bread, cakes, cookies, pancakes, waffles and even fudge. This little blender really goes above and beyond and I enjoy using it every time.
