My friend died and I'm left with his utility knife. It was damaged when I received it but can still be used. More than 5 years have passed, and I finally decided to sharpen it. It's turned out great and I'm looking forward to upgrading a few more knives. 5 minutes per side for each of the 4 grits worked great. If it's badly damaged, you'll probably want to spend more time. Youtube is great for getting to know the technology and you quickly get a feel for it. The first picture shows an unsharpened knife, the other two - after. I'm not sure what resolution they will end up in, so suffice it to say that the edge of the blade has been visibly damaged and now has a perfect edge.
