Fairly powerful fan. Much better than a cheap fan with plastic blades, which is quiet but hardly blows any air. I've spent money on a few of these cheap ones that break and if they get a little dust they won't blow. They are powerful with aluminum or steel blades and well worth the extra money, decently loud for their size (expected and no louder than I thought). You just need to make sure you have tools like an Allen key and a set of sockets (preferably a headed drill and drill bit to make things easier). Took me about 2 hours to assemble and install from start to finish. The instructions aren't the best and I have a few extra items that don't seem to belong in the package. I like the vertical angle bracket that supports the fan to spread the weight on the wall. I screwed a 5/8" to 3/4" piece of plywood to the studs and then screwed the screws in. 3/4" is recommended for a regular steel stud wall for a retarded bolt to cut into. They are very strong but not very heavy. I particularly recommend these fans because they have a CFM listing which means they are high quality fans There is no remote control but there is an on and off circuit.
