If you watch the video, you can see a gentleman pouring a small bottle of water into the base. Trust me, it takes a lot more than a tiny bottle of water to fill the base. You can also fill the base with sand. Either way, you should feel something on the base to hold the stand in place. These frames are made in China and sold on Revain by a Chinese company. They are made of plastic. So at the current price of $110 I find them at least twice as expensive as they should be. But they are quite bright and I like that part. Of course, metal is preferred for its durability and strength, but if you're looking for something simple, this might work.
