Not written off. Very hard sole.
I was and am looking for shoes. I have plantar fasciitis and need soft shoes. It definitely isn't. Not sure what's up with the company's reviews and/or claims, but these shoes have a cheap 2mm foam insert over an extremely hard sole. The thing gives nothing at all. I tried these shoes on for 15 minutes and couldn't take the pain. Maybe they're great for sustainability, I don't know. They are definitely not comfortable or soft.
