Bought this to relieve back pain, couldn't sleep in our king bed for months. After waking up, my husband and I complained of back and hip pain. I sleep on my side and am now in the 4.5. Months pregnant, but even before that I had severe hip pain that made me ache all the time. Finally we said enough is enough! I went broke and ordered this topper and have no regrets! It's nice to sleep on! The smell wasn't bad at all, almost no chemical smell (and I'm currently sensitive to smells). If anything, spoiled in an hour. It was wrapped in plastic which you must remove once you unroll it on the bed, contrary to other reviews our topper was NOT DAMAGED, it was in perfect memory foam condition and weighed over 30lbs. It doesn't move much due to its density and weight, which is much appreciated compared to cheaper toppers that fold and move as you change sleeping positions. Our back/hip pain is almost completely gone now. I've slept on this mattress topper for 2 full weeks and so far my only gripe is that it could have been a little firmer or maybe an inch shorter in depth so there's not much to sink into and you will sink in it a little. For reference: I weigh 160 pounds, am 4.5. Months pregnant and 25 years old, my husband is 210 pounds, 6ft 2in and 32 years old and we both sleep comfortably on this king size cylinder.
