Last year, between kindergarten and first grade, my toddler only worked one worksheet a day from a similar workbook (only 1st grade instead). He has ASD and finds it difficult to switch from one mode to another, so I figured it would be beneficial to keep him in a routine with only a small portion of schoolwork. Asking him for a worksheet wasn't usually a big deal, and as a result he was probably better prepared for 1st grade. So this summer I'm going to do the same thing with this 2nd grade workbook. He's already completed a few "just for fun" pages and they've been fun and a bit challenging, which we both love!
