Review on πŸ”’ Optimal Safety and Enhanced Precision: YESWELDER Viewing Powered Darkening Grinding Occupational Health & Safety Products by Aaron Franklin

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Weak and cheap hood and hat, the back of the lens was scratched out of the box.

I've read reviews that the materials are cheap. I took the risk anyway and YOU ARE RIGHT. Insanely bad materials; Here I thought that the $50 fixed lens hood I got from the aftermarket store seemed cheap to me. I was concerned that the headband would tear, snap or somehow break when adjusting, everything is plastic including the screws. Pretty soft plastic. Because it's so cheap, it flexes a lot. You have to tighten things up a lot so they're stiff enough to support the weight of the hood when you pitch it forward, and that's where all the snapped threads and broken headgear photos come from. The knobs and switches used to control the lens are fairly loose. They won't keep their settings very well. I have to assume they won't stay where I set them with normal use, meaning you could accidentally set the tint too low and see smudges within minutes of finding out the hard way. The transparency of the lenses seems to be as advertised. , but there is a non-replaceable VERY soft plastic protector on the inside/back of the lens which was already scratched out of the box and the two spares along with the add-on pack purchased from YESWELDER do not fit (and in any case the existing lens protector permanently attached). Guys, I have to assume a lot of these reviews are sponsored or paid for. I'll return it and save up for something that won't let me down after 2 hours of a full day.
