Easy to change! for printer ink & toner

This is the greatest thing since the invention of the printer cartridge. The printer counts the number of pages for each color cartridge. I'm pretty sure this doesn't take into account how much paint was used as that would be quite difficult and probably expensive to measure. I can only assume that for every tiny patch of color used on a page, there was a whole page listed for that color, probably counting as a supposedly average page with some font and lots of color charts. And when the last number was reached, the printer stopped printing in color. I don't know how much ink is actually left, of course, but according to other sources there may be Β½ color left and the printer will print great color graphics again. But for the price, the investment was definitely worth it. For black I made the mistake of buying a new toner cartridge, albeit a fairly cheap one. But not for color! These chips work like magic. There are videos on Youtube that explain how the chips should be protected for almost every printer. It's pretty easy. Old plastic holders need to be removed with a knife, but the chips fit snugly in the hole. In case chips get into the hole (yes, it happened), just unscrew the cap and tap the cartridge. The chip falls out. When removing/adding chips, I simply placed the cartridge in the large envelope that the chips came in to prevent color bleed. Once the process is complete, simply remove the washed ink from the outside of the cartridge. I also attached the chips to the cartridge with a tiny strip of tape that can be removed next time. Apparently the color itself is also easy to change without creating an extra hole. It's all there. Next time I'll just add color and may have to add new chips, but I can always leave them if the old chips run out of sides. Finally, the printer I bought at the Black Friday sale for $50 makes financial sense and won't burn a hole in my toner cartridge wallet.
