If you want a weather resistant finish you MUST use their 'Exterior Additive' and it took many coats to cover the darker areas of the wood. The product becomes very foamy (perhaps from the additive?) and then the pigment settles back to the bottom of the container, requiring vigorous stirring, which creates more foam. The color corresponds to the declared. I only bought this brand because I use it in my hive and I want a more natural product that doesn't harm my little furry friends.
