I’ve had a number of dash cameras and they all have shortcomings. This Vantrue model is better than the rest but it’s not simple to operate, especially with the app.What I like -- small size- excellent video/photo quality- good adhesion to the windshield without the clear plastic "protector”- easy to adjust camera settings from the app, notso easy directly on the camera- magnetic base is excellent- inconspicuous in my vehicleWhat I don’t like- should come with at least a basic micro sd card- the app is a little wonky to connect to and that’s partly due to the app and partly due to other factors- I have not yet been able to download a video via wifi from the camera directly to my phone.-wish you could record longer than 5 minutes at a timeThe app won’t download video or still photos to my phone yet, working on that. The app is great for adjusting the camera settings. See the photo of the app screen with the settings.I kept getting a connection error that said "turn off VPN”. Then it occurred to me that my Norton 360security app had the VPN on even though I had it turned off.Once I got the Norton VPN shut down, connection between my iPhone and the camera was no issue. Not a Vantrue problem per se, but it was a connection. Issue - be aware of that if you use Norton 360.Once I get the video and photo download figured out, this will likely be 4.5 stars, but not 5. The app is too annoying to make it a 5. Hope that helps!
