This is the third ballast I've replaced! Much cheaper than a new headlight unit! I installed this while the light was still attached to the ceiling! There were plenty of lengths of wire on the new ballast! What to look out for. Old wires can be removed from the hose connectors by inserting the rigid probe wire into the area just below the current wire! Sometimes it's not easy, but it will work! What happened. You move the latch away from the live wire and then it releases! When you insert the new wire, pull on it to make sure it doesn't pull out! If it pulls out, put it back in tight! You may have to strip away the extra insulation to get it deeper into the cable socket! Hope that helps!
