My old Fiskers mat is worn out. Not that it was a bad mat, but it was a slab size, which meant I would sometimes run my disc cutter to the edge and pop out, ruining my cutting table and dulling the blade. To avoid this I cut then moved the whole piece to put it back on the mat and then I ran into the problem that it wasn't the most accurate cut. I promised myself that if I had to replace the mat I would go for the BIG one. I'm not disappointed. It hangs on each edge of my editing table (default white, sides fold up and down) but the whole table is set, and what a joy not having to move my pieces! Good cutting surface. Mesh is better than my old carpet. My husband and son put it together (with manly strength) and I had none of the misalignment or separation issues that I was initially concerned about. It's pricey, but so far it's worth it as long as it lasts a while.
