Worst batting I have ever used.

This batting leaves clumps of cotton everywhere. I am a hand quilter, and am making a small quilt for my brother. This batting is going everywhere. On the top of the quilt, on the floor, and in my lungs. I usually buy Hobbs, but have used cheap stuff before. This is the worst I've ever used and will never buy it again. BTW, I usually only leave positive reviews, but this demanded a negative one.

Pros
  • LOve this produce can't wait to use it in my quilt I'm working on -
Cons
  • Constantly coming apart. Not good for quilting.

Falls apart and gets fuzz everywhere

This was lightweight soft batting. But with the softness came lack of stability. This batting shredded and stuck to the cotton fabric I used to make the quilt, and bits of the batting scattered all over the place. With the amount of time required to sew and quilt the 3 layers together it is an awful thought that this batting will not stay in a layer but make lumps after the quilt is washed. I should have waited until I could get to a fabric store. One clue that the company knows that this is a…

Pros
  • As a quilter, I prefer wool for it's loft and drape. This cotton does it. Great drape and very warm.
Cons
  • Already added, get off

This is wonderful batting! I have been making kids quilts for Christmas for a charity, so there was also a time limit. I ran out of enough to finish the last quilt and bought this. It is just fabulous and easy to work with!

Pros
  • Very soft and plush batting
Cons
  • Prone to wrinkling and creasing

Purchase to make it a guinea pig rug for cage

I have never purchased batting before so I don’t know if this was good or bad. I found it to be not the best. It shredded and tore and was hard to sew through. I went back to using towels.

Pros
  • NICE PRODUCT
Cons
  • May not be breathable and may cause sweating

Great batting but, for my opinion

Nice and soft but don’t even open the package til you’re actually sandwiching and basting your quilt because the cotton gets everywhere. The more you touch, manipulate, handle this batting the more it sheds, balls up, wads etc etc. It’s really nice soft cotton, but it doesn’t hold together when handled. Once in the quilt it’s got a nice weight to it - I like it like that.

Pros
  • One of the best battings I’ve worked with! Love it!Super soft and light weight. Easy to work with.
Cons
  • May require special care instructions

Very pleased with my purchase.

I’m a novice crafter and I wanted to work on a proyect to cover up the seat of my ugly sofa. Well, the batting made all the difference! Very light, soft and easy to use, and I am very happy with the result. I noticed that the seller took care of the presentation of the product and I followed instructions for handling it. Yeah! I would work with it again.

Pros
  • The product is used to make pot holders.
Cons
  • May not provide adequate cushioning

Great price, soft, - my new review

This was a good price. Fluffy and soft. It is linty. You will have to clean your machine more often when using this. Over a good purchase.

Pros
  • It was light weight enough to use in a Summer quilt
Cons
  • May be expensive compared to other options

easy to use, just handle with care

I have been a quilter for over 35 years, have owned a quilt shop and am now a professional long-arm quilter.I ordered the 300 grm. weight. I wanted high loft that is soft. Opened the batting completely and let it breathe for 2-3 days. The loft came to 1/2 inch and the size increased from the order description (71x79)inch to 76x85 inches! Absolutely the most soft, light and beautiful batting I've ever come across in all my years except wool that doesn't have the loft. Because I am a long-arm…

Pros
  • I used this for making my grandson a quilt
Cons
  • May not be versatile enough for a variety of projects

Great quality cotton batting. Used it for Christmas Stockings

Cotton batting is great quality. It is soft and thick so it is better to use size 16 needle on your sewing machine. I made Christmas Stockings and basted the batting then lined them.

Pros
  • It is actually what it says it is .
Cons
  • May not be eco-friendly

Excellent for my baby quilt

This is by far the softest batting I've ever had my hands on. The term "like butter" comes to mind. I love this product! I've already ordered two more!

Pros
  • Puffed up nicely upon opening. No odor. Just what I needed to finish up the quilt I am making.
Cons
  • Very soft but comes apart easily and makes a mess

Great batting! good for me

I'm very happy with my purchase of the Plantional cotton batting. It's easy to use and is soft. I will definitely buy it again!

Pros
  • O would buy it again
Cons
  • It was soft and light weight but left fuzz on all my fabric and everything it came in contact with!

Not quilt batting!: my feedback

The reviews made me try this product but the moment I opened the package I realized this is not suitable in a quilt! It pulls apart to easy! The only plus was the softness! Now if you can make it durable I will give a try! Until then, I will stick with Quilters Dream or Warm and Natural!

Pros
  • Came as described, but messy.
Cons
  • May be difficult to find in stores

Cons
  • Very soft but sheds and shreds too easily.

Quality Product on my review.

This is one of the nicest battings I've ever purchased. Much better quality than in the retail store where I normally shop. Incredibly soft. Haven't actually sewn with it yet but know that it will work well. Great quality and reasonable price. Will buy again.

Pros
  • This batting is so soft and it was really easy to work with. I'll definitely buy again.
Cons
  • May be difficult to sew

What a fuzzy mess for my opinion

This batting shed worse than my chihuahua when she’s nervous. It’s difficult to work with too - it’s too light and stretchy.

Pros
  • This made sewing some crafts so much easier
Cons
  • Not suitable for heavy-duty use

This came shrink wrapped. There is no fluff to it at all.

I bought this previously at two yards and it came rolled up and in a box. This time I bought four yards and instead of a nice roll it is flat. I would return it but I need it now. And I can't imagine it would be any different if I got a replacement. I suggest you don't buy more then two yards at a time or you will get flat batting.

Pros
  • Was perfect for my project
Cons
  • May not be as resistant to wear and tear as other materials

Very soft but too much lint

When I first opened the nicely presentrd package I loved the softness. As I began to unroll it to fit my quilt I was dismayed at how much lint came off of it. Since my quilt top had a black background I soon realizef this was going to be a problem. Sure enough when I took it to my quilter she said she could not use it at all. I had to repurchase another brand. She said your batting had no scrim and would not work for my densely quilted project.

Pros
  • Item was as advertised
Cons
  • May have a chemical smell when first received

A Lint Generator!: my feedback

Working with this batting was a challenge. Everything it touched ended up coated in lint. And I was using black fabric in my quilt. You can imagine what that was like working with a batting that was basically a lint factory. The finished quilt was lovely. The low loft thickness was just what I was looking for. But I never anticipated the amount of lint!

Pros
  • I use it for quilting because it’s light weight.
Cons
  • Too thin for cold weather bedding

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not well made on my review.

This stuff shreds and falls apart a lot. Had to quilt it closer than recommended. Difficult to get through machine. That's my review!

Pros
  • Soft and great quality
Cons
  • May bunch up or shift during use

Great batting. very soft

This came packaged in a plastic zippered bag. Was extremely soft. I used it for two baby quilts and they turned out so soft. It did shed a little but not enough to cause a problem. After the quilts were finished I washed them on gentle cycle and they held up well. Were a little fluffier but that made the quilts even comfier. Really like the results and will order again.

Pros
  • Great batting for bowl cozy’s
Cons
  • May cause allergic reactions in some people
