Glad I bought this item. As a result, the sound of the boxes is not completely muffled. When you close closet doors, it's a softer, muffled sound that's much better than a loud bang. I don't think there is a case bumper that eliminates the sound 100%. As for adhesion, I can't tell you how long it will last, but it stuck very well the first time. Others have mentioned that adhesion was poor, but it worked for me. Maybe the adhesion depends on the type of surface you stick it to? In general I am satisfied with the purchase.
