Review on Duncan Imperial Assorted Colors Pack by Eric Dailey

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Like high school - great!

It has been very interesting to play with this yo-yo after so many years since I last played it in high school over 20 years ago. I've never been an expert with yo-yos, but I was able to do a few tricks. Then if you had a yo-yo, it had to be Duncan! When my kids both got a cheap pair of yoyos for Christmas, I was very disappointed that the rope was attached to the axle and prevented the yoyo from "sleeping" as I recalled when I used to be able to do it with my Duncans. I decided to order Imperial and Butterfly for the kids because I thought I could relive my past a bit and show my kids that I know how a real yoyo works. We were not disappointed when we received our Duncans! There are several reviews here complaining that these yo-yos don't come back and spin. This is neither a design nor a quality defect. The ability to sleep with a yoyo allows it to perform tricks like "walk the dog", "travel around the world", and "rock baby". These tricks quickly came back to me with the new yoyos we received. Both yo-yos were exactly the same as they were over 20 years ago. That fact impressed me. You can say something about a manufacturer that improves their product over time, but in that case why fix it if it didn't break?”

Pros
  • Steel axle for smooth rotation
