It's performance shames some of the boutique audiophile brand DACs costing in excess of $2,000 (as shown through independent testing using Audio Precision test gear). Linearity is superb, THD+N is vanishingly small, and frequency response is ruler-flat.It's astounding that a product of this quality can be offered at such a modest price. The materials and workmanship are superb -- and I write that as an electrical engineer with decades of experience. The display is a wonderful feature and something quite unusual in this price range. You know at a glance whether your audio is playing at its native resolution or whether it's being transcoded by your system.I recommend this without hesitation.
