Arrived broken and smells horrible

I bought a pack of lava from a store before and I really liked it! They held up very well for my rats and had no stains on them. It was a bit of a strange smell, but that quickly dissipated. However, I just received this package and it's a mess! I immediately noticed that the plastic packaging was dented and one lava bar was completely broken and another chipped off! Aside from the sacred cow, the smell was overwhelming. Not exactly sure what it is but I am very disappointed in my rats and how expensive they are. :/
