This is a 'smarter' version of the 3335 and has received very good reviews. This can do duplex scanning, while the 3335 can only scan one side at a time. This MFP replaced a Canon MFP whose fuser failed within a year of purchase. Of course only outside of the guarantee. :/ It has a very advanced user interface but is easy to set up and connect via USB or LAN. It can easily store documents locally or on a network file server, making it ideal for small businesses. You can also save email addresses for quick scanning and emailing. The device has EXCELLENT printouts - grayscale is light and dark. Please note that this is a MONOCHROME printer. Don't expect it to print in color as that is not its intended purpose. The only downsides I can suggest (and they're annoying more than anything else) is that the device asks you to say what you're investing in it. when using the bypass tray or loading paper in the main tray. If you try to print on media that doesn't match your computer document, the printer will be unsatisfied and report the discrepancy to you. The printer cannot store custom paper sizes. For example, we use a lot of 6x9 envelopes. If you occasionally load 6x9 envelopes in the printer, the printer remembers the media last loaded. However, if you switch media and print a job and then return to the previous media, you must tell the printer the size of the media you loaded if it is not programmed into the printer. It would be nice if you could save a custom media size for quick selection, but that's not an option in this firmware. Once you get used to its features, this is a great little machine that prints quickly and beautifully. I am very happy with it. We'll see how it holds up as many 'new' devices don't live up to the quality of devices from yesteryear.
