Review on 🚰 Deltas RP4993 Black Small Faucet by Stephen Thomas

After reading reviews of several non-OEM Delta faucet seats and springs, we decided to spend a little more on these genuine Delta parts. We received them in retail packaging and not in the big chunks in the plastic bag that other reviewers have mentioned. We originally just replaced the RP4993 seats on our Delta dual handle toilet faucet, but the new seats didn't stop the dripping of hot and cold water. , so we swapped out the RP1740 cartridges as well, which fixed the problem. The original cartridges were in perfect condition, but when comparing them to replacement cartridges, we noticed that the crescent-shaped 🌙 hole in the stainless steel plates at the bottom of the cartridges was slightly larger on the original parts. It's hard to believe, but apparently years of water flowing through the cartridge has eroded the hole in the plate a bit, just enough to allow water to flow over the edge of the rubber seats. Save yourself the headache and replace both seats and cartridges when your Delta faucet is leaking.
