This ribbon is good. However, I wasn't as impressed as I had hoped. I guess for fifteen bucks I was expecting a little more - duct tape that outperformed the standard 2 inch packing tapes on the market - but I didn't find it. The tape is hardly torn by hand. This is tricky and the tape can warp a bit and the grease on your fingers makes it less grippy so I recommend cutting it with scissors. (I only mention this because the ad makes it sound like it's really easy to tear.) It's also a slight shade of orange. I can't imagine ever using this for gift wrapping. You won't notice the tint on darker paper, but why not just use clear gift wrapping tape? She is very thin but not weak. This is a quality band. I have no problem with that. And contrary to the experience of some other reviewers, I have to point out that my band was exactly 1 inch thick, so not a mistake either. Yes the product is advertised as heat resistant and if that is to your advantage I would give it an extra star. However, the box has never broken in my life due to the heat causing the tape to come loose, so I won't need that 'perk'. I just don't see any real use for this tape. . I like the standard 2" dispenser packing tape or fiberglass tape if you want to go all out with the packaging and I'll stick with it. I can't find any 1 inch tapes that work well for me when trying to wrap box seams that aren't perfectly aligned. Overall this is a good tape but expensive and for a very specific use - high temperature packaging or laboratory applications.
