When I first received this Vera Bradley Performance Twill Brush Up Bag I was a bit disappointed as it was a bit smaller than I expected. However, after reviewing it and starting to use it, I see how deceptive the size is (and how the size itself is a huge space-saving benefit for me) as I pack an impressive amount of makeup essentials into these small guy can stick. without taking up much space in my luggage when I travel. The quilted nylon has a soft feel and is very durable with a water-resistant look that I love. It is very durable and appears to be scratch and abrasion resistant as well. The zippers on it are very strong and durable, and the shiny silver contrasts nicely with the black I got, giving it a sleeker makeup look. Pocket. It has two compartments and the top one is very original. It has loops for lots of makeup brushes, with a clear flap at the bottom to keep them in place and out of the way if you want to stack more items on top. There's also a zipped compartment at the top to pack even more into that small space, and it's transparent so you can quickly open it and see at a glance what you have and don't have. The main compartment is surprisingly roomy for its size and has additional mesh pockets to keep your belongings more organized. There's also a zippered mesh pocket at the top to maximize your space, allowing you to squeeze even more items into/on top of other stuff without getting in the way. I can comfortably fit a ton of makeup and beauty products with a bit of wiggle room, although I'd bet I wasn't able to store as much as I could when I first got it. It's very well thought out and organized because it's so small and compact! Wow! I love the inner lining which is a beautiful chic purple floral pattern that blends beautifully with the outer black finish yet makes it stand out a little tastefully when you see its interior. Both the outside and inside are very easy to wipe down and keep clean (which is increasingly important these days when viruses and the like are scary). All in all I'm in love with this makeup bag and it's my new favorite! Because I can pack so much in it, in turn, its compact size saves tons of packing space when we travel, which is priceless to me (we travel A LOT). It is incredibly well built and perfect in every way! While initially I would say that this is an expensive item (and it is), I feel like it's worth every bit. Single. a penny. If you can rock it - it's built to last and thanks to its great design it performs better than the average little makeup bags like this. I would give ten stars if I could!
