So far this Chinese imitation has worked very well. The picture is bright and the colors are much sharper than our old Chinese copy which lasted almost 3400 hours. This lamp assembly fits our projector very snugly, so I had to remove the projector from the ceiling to properly install the new lamp. So bottom line, you can spend $300 on a "real" Epson lightbulb and get maybe 4,000 hours. Or you keep buying $80 Chinese fakes and replace them every 3000 hours. Your choice.
