Review on Variable Digital Adjustable Regulated Switching by Ananta Crowley

Definitely recommend

I use this stock daily since I received it. I charged sla batteries, used them to test a suspected faulty truck fan motor, charged li-ion and phosphate batteries and powered some high power LED lights for testing, and anodized some titanium parts (big and small) for fun. I have to say that I am more than satisfied. The voltage reading is sufficient, although the voltage is shown in 0.01 increments (if you are gentle and patient), to overcome the limitations of the reading, I just use a reliable digital voltmeter, this is not a big problem. I have found the voltage to be satisfactorily stable up to the 10 amp limit. I believe the unit is actually pretty well built as I had no trouble pulling the full 10 amps and a bit more with no overheating issues. The fan reacts to temperature or load and only runs when it's needed, so there's no constant noise, and when it's running it's not annoying at all. Haven't opened it up to observe the build quality but only because so far I've been pleased and impressed. The included test leads were also a surprise, I was willing to fit my own to replace them, but once again they impressed me. So everything shows that this is a solid little block for the money. and does what it's supposed to do, and well.

Pros
  • Excellent heat dissipation
Cons
  • Some small things
