I bought a medium sized bag for a medium sized cat and was surprised at how small it is. The marketing materials do not list the size of the bag, but the size of the pet. The medium size states that it is suitable for pets up to 16 inches in length and 10 inches in height. Now that I have the bag I can measure it and it is pretty much 16 inches long and 10 inches high. With a soft floor, it's more like 9 inches of interior space. So while you can technically PLACE a 16" x 10" animal in this bag, it takes up all of the space with no room to move or maybe even stand. .I've seen various advice on the size of the container, but everyone agrees that the container should be at least a couple of inches larger than the animal's actual dimensions. Perhaps I was naïve to think the manufacturer would understand. this and set their pet size specs accordingly, but apparently not. The bag seems sturdy enough so I'll probably just send it back and get the large one instead of the medium one.
