Tried a couple of 4 AWG oxygen free copper spade terminals and it worked fine. It was quick, easy, efficient and a lot cheaper than a hydraulic tong. Just remember that you need to place the tool on a hard, flat surface and hit it with a hammer. If you need to terminate wire lugs in the engine bay (cables that are already connected on one side) this becomes tricky. For a termination (one side was already connected), I removed the car battery and placed large blocks of wood on top of the battery compartment. I couldn't hit the tool as hard as the ground, but I increased the number of hits and got the job done. In general I am satisfied with the results.
