Makes the job EASY and CHEAP!

Did exactly what it was supposed to do with minimal effort. I just used a 2/0 gauge sledgehammer and this wire never comes loose. Allowed me to crimp twice to be safe for my application too. Great for the price!

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Not bad

Great value for what it is.

This tool looks terrible after just one project. Almost all the chrome flew off the first time. This tool will rust quickly, but if you only need it here and there for a project, it will work. I've found that you have to use a hammer on the roll pin to loosen the project after the crimp is complete.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Volume

Nice tool - pliers

So. I've never used a tool like this before, but it's easy to find out. This made my terminals perfect and strong for my large wire connectors on my car amp. I just wish there was a padlock or something to hold the hammer in place while you place the wire and crimp terminal. Still works well and I'm happy with the result

Pros
  • Trial period for one year
Cons
  • There are disadvantages

Good for small jobs

If you're only crimping a few wires, this tool will work just fine. There is another tool for the same price with a lifetime warranty. If it hadn't been on pre-order I would have bought it instead. This tool started delaminating after the second use, it doesn't look as good anymore but it still works fine. If it cost less than the other tool with a lifetime warranty I would still buy this one as I only need it for a few crimps.

Pros
  • High test scores for grip and durability
Cons
  • Speed

Looks used but worked great

Used to crimp my truck's 2/0 battery leads. came used. Aside from expecting a novel product, it worked great for the money. A competing product costs twice as much here. So I can't really complain. I am satisfied with the pressing result. Now I have a tool that I will most likely never use again. LAUGH OUT LOUD. But fixing my cables was a lot cheaper than buying new cables. The editor's total saving for me was around 250.00 for the entire job. So I think the one-time use was worth it anyway.

  • Pleased
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.

Excellent crimping tool, suitable for crimping machines

I have both a 16 ton hydraulic crimping tool and a two handed high lever crimping tool. Both use hex die sizes in metric units but do not have a chart for SAE crimp terminals. I've had several unsuccessful attempts to crimp a larger gauge wire when the crimp wouldn't hold and the terminal came loose with less effort. Looking at this crimping tool, I believe this problem will be solved. Crimping the cable with this tool is equivalent to crimping heavy cable at the factory. I'm going to use it…

Product quality needs improvement

Received as shown on website but rough in terms of finish. Also the weld and general materials were of the lowest quality. After the first use with two eyelets, the tip of the metal broke from a standard household hammer. This is unacceptable due to the fact that the impact of the hammer is expected to hit the protrusion. This type of product should not be sold to anyone unless it is really cheap and the seller also makes the buyer aware of expectations. Unless you only use this product a few…

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Works great most of the time

Tried a couple of 4 AWG oxygen free copper spade terminals and it worked fine. It was quick, easy, efficient and a lot cheaper than a hydraulic tong. Just remember that you need to place the tool on a hard, flat surface and hit it with a hammer. If you need to terminate wire lugs in the engine bay (cables that are already connected on one side) this becomes tricky. For a termination (one side was already connected), I removed the car battery and placed large blocks of wood on top of the battery

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Lol wtf thats on hand tools

what did i buy? I've seen all these reviews showing it 1/0 and they all work. cool you can go no 1/0 doesn't fit here either. You need to run a wire through one end, crimp a connector from the other, and then pull the rest of the wire through. out of the spring so that the entire silver crimp part can come out and you can insert and remove wires and terminals. See my photos to add a picture to the words. In the maximum open position I can't even get 1/0 of the wire through the gap. How am I…
