Review on AEM 24 6110C Metal Induction System by Roger Alexander

AEM Part Number 24-6110C for 2003-2006 Honda Accord V6 models with automatic or manual transmission. I have used AEM products before and have been satisfied. I actually had a 2000 Accord and used the original air intake and then later upgraded to a V2 when it was designed and I liked the sound and performance of the V2 better. So let's move on to something new for my 2006 Accord V6. PROS: Fit and finish Audible throttle response Cleaner engine bay looks Noticeably better low-end response CONS: Removing the stock resonator is a hassle (especially with factory fog lights) Coolant needs draining (not a big deal and 1 gallon doesn't need draining) In the Unlike the 4 cylinder V2 I had for my 2000, the V6 version has a completely different intake noise (it's not as pleasant to hear as the 4 cylinder) Remove battery to install, this is Honda, not an AEMKB, no Nylok nut included, just a regular nut (I have plenty of fasteners available and found Nylok to use) Finally a new dry air filter (can flow just as well as a K&N but requires a fair amount of 2 bottles of dry flow cleaner to clean). AEM filter and it looks like it needs cleaning more often and unfortunately I don't currently have any spares to install while waiting for it to dry.) Overall I do Hirsch, fits better than I expected, I put some foam between the tube and the body to prevent scratches and rattling at the contact point just behind the battery. I gave 4 stars because of the filter, as I have been using K&N filters for almost 15 years, I have a lot of cleaner and oil for these filters, now I have to buy something else or just order K&N to make it fit. Not a big deal either, but my box didn't have a license plate frame and as I said, didn't have a nylok nut according to the parts list, but had a good bushing that wasn't listed (is useless). If you want to get more responses from your accord, then this trick can do just that. I'll post some pics of the setup as Revain doesn't have anything other than what I used from the manual.
