First used with Sony Xperia xz premium, then with Sony Xperia 1. Same problem. When I was waiting for the release of Xperia 1, I decided to switch to Bluetooth headphones, since this smartphone does not have a 3.5-jack. I listened to them with xz premium - upset. I thought everything would change with the new phone, but nothing has changed. Listening at home is normal, the Bluetooth signal is reflected from the walls, so the signal is normal there, but if you go outside, then hellish signal interruptions begin. It's impossible to listen. There are no interruptions in the metro, but nothing is heard because of the form factor - there's nothing you can do about it, I deliberately went for it. I began to understand - what's the matter? The forums write that you need to turn on the ACC codec (or whatever it is), but it turns on automatically. I saw that people meet this problem, but they do not need a solution. I found the reasons on the websites of manufacturers from both Apple and Sony and others. The fact is that the body strongly absorbs the Bluetooth signal and it is not recommended to carry a phone with headphones in a pants pocket (and where else can I wear them in the summer?). And so it turned out: if you carry the phone in your hand (at the level of your pocket), then everything is fine, if you put it in your pocket or just lean it against your leg, then interference begins (! This is only on the street). This is not considered a problem, it is considered the norm - that's what upsets me. Only after that I began to notice how many people go to AirPods holding the phone in their hands - now I understand what it is for. _ One way or another, people from my environment, ardent Apple fans, claimed that this was due to the "inferiority of Android" and AirPods need to be listened to from the iPhone. To my objection: "and jbl only with jbl, and beats only with beats" - they did not answer in any way, they only said that they had no problems. I took two people's kits (AirPods with iPhone) and tried the same thing. There were interference and interruptions! (three different sets, including mine). Friends just shrugged their shoulders - "this is the first time", but they continue to carry the iPhone in their outerwear pocket or in their hands, trying not to notice the problem. Sad.
