I am currently renovating a house and building my last house that had over 75 can lights. This is a huge step forward over traditional can shaped bulbs which are bulky and much more difficult to install, requiring the purchase of LED bulbs at an additional cost etc. The 4 inch version literally screws right into my mud rings which mounts on a simple become standard junction box. (The cost at Menards or Home Depot is about $3.00 for both). At first I wanted to use them in strategic places around the house. When I ordered one and tried it out, I ordered 24 6" and 30 4" to do the whole house in it. Warning. I learned the hard way that the screw pattern on a 4" differs from a 6". So if you put that same mud ring in place, you'll be very sorry after your drywall is lifted. I am currently looking for mud rings that will work on 6 inches.
