Exactly what I was looking for

I have replaced the ball catches on a pair of pantry doors and a pair of linen closet doors. Ball locks seem to fail every few months and need adjusting in order for the doors to open. My wife has been following me since we moved to replace them with magnetic clasps 15 years ago. Now that they are in place, pantry doors and linen closet doors open easily. It takes a while to get used to the fact that I can open them without using more force than my wife can muster when they fail. The doors are hollow and relatively light. Magnets keep them closed easily. In fact, after approaching about 3/4 inch, they close the door completely. One reviewer complained that the package didn't come with any instructions. It is true. A number of reviewers have complained about the screws that come with the magnetic clasps. There were 24 screws in the set of 4 magnetic clasps, 8 more than needed. I was lucky because I dropped the screws several times and ended up losing 3 of them. I wouldn't screw them in with a power tool. Even in soft woods such as pine, small screws are difficult to screw in. You need to drill pilot holes. And rubbing it in with a little beeswax changes the world. Everyone should have some oil to lubricate the screws and rails of the wooden boxes in the wooden furniture they sell. After applying a small amount of beeswax (you'll need to take care of your beeswax first) the bolts collapsed almost as if they were being driven in oil (compared to the force required before applying the beeswax). https://www.amazon.com/Beesworks-1oz-Yellow-Beeswax-Bars/dp/B01LWX2IO1/ref=sr_1_3_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1547153754&sr=8-3&keywords=bees+wax
